Lets cook Potatoes and cauliflower





There are many way to cook potatoes and cauliflower . Potatoes and cauliflower is a curry you can eat with rice or any kind of bread. I like my with begal. Millions of people from around the world like vegetarian food for lunch or supper for many decades. It’s no surprise that many people prefer to have Indian foods once a week. My grandmother teaches my dad and my dad teaches me to cook this traditional dish. This dish is made ready in any special occasion in Nepal. So today I am going to show you all how to make aloo Gobi “potatoes and cauliflower curry”, step by step.

Ingredients

You may change the amount of ingredients according to the amount of which you wish to serve.

A potato
Half a cauliflower
Salt as needed
Turmeric as needed
½ a tea spoon mustard oil
Some cumin seeds
½ a red onion
½ a tea spoon Ginger garlic paste
Tomato as need
1 tea spoon Indian spices (found in Indian store near you)
Chilly as needed.

Steps

1. Put the pan in slow fire with oil, adding cumin seeds.
2. Add chopped onion and fry till it brown.
3. Add ginger garlic and fry till brown.
4. Add salt, turmeic, chopped tomato, Indian spices and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add sliced potatoes and cook till it soften (cover the pan for 3 minutes in medium fire).
6. Add cauliflower and cover till it get light cook.
7. Optional, can add chilly as needed.
8. Test the salt, ready to serve.

Loving nepali food



The food of Nepal is as diverse as the country itself. The Nepalese recipes are quick to cook and good to eat. Nepalese food is famous for its nutrition level and tempting taste. Nepalese cuisine is somewhat basic, it certainly does not lack in flavor, making extensive use of spices and flavorings such as ginger, garlic, coriander, pepper, cumin, chilies, cilantro, mustard oil, ghee and occasionally yak butter.


In most part of country, especially rice-growing areas, Dal Bhat (lentils and rice) is the staple food of Nepalese, that is eaten twice a day. Snacks such as bread, chura (beaten rice), roti (flat bread), curried vegetables, milked tea and other snacks are also generally eaten in between the two big meals. Moreover, Gundrook-Dheedo is a sugar-free dish made of wheat, maize and dried green roasted vegetables. The food is high on nutrition level and satisfies the taste buds. Meanwhile,Aloo Tama (Alu Tama) simply means 'Potato Bamboo Shoots'. It is a unique and classic Nepali curry flavor dish. It is unique in the sense that it is unlike any other Indian or South Asian curry since they rarely use bamboo shoots. Similarly, unlike other East Asian cuisine such as Chinese that uses Bamboo shoots but do not use curry spices.


Rice is always serve with any meal you eat once or twice a day. In fact, 195 gram of rice have 216 calories and 45 gram /15% of total carbohydrate, some fat , calcium and iron.This food is also low in Saturated Fat, and very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Selenium, and a very good source of Manganese.


Milk is the most popular drink to drink anything of the day. In capital of nepal, kathmandu , milk has been the perfect business center where milk is refined,processed, and preserved and packed . Meanwhile, milk in urban and rural area are not processed or preserved, it is served directly from farms to local in same time of milk production.


Apart from its traditional food the country offers a wide range of Chinese and Japanese fast foods like Mo Mo and macaroni. There are many food in the city which provide the traveler with excellent cooking. The food in Nepal is delicious and is available at a very reasonable price to the tourist anywhere so that they could fully enjoy the mouth watering traditional recipes of the region. Visiting Nepal would also give the differnt flavor of the life time experience.
